Bandon Vs Abbyfeale 43-7

The Bandon Women played a great game against Abbyfeale on Sunday, Beating them 43-7.
 
The Bandon Ladies got off to a good start with Jill Mahony scoring their first try early in the game, which Emma Coomey converted perfectly, (07-00) to give Bandon the early lead. Jill Mahony went on the score her second try after receiving a brilliant offload from Eileen Foley, which was converted once again by Emma Coomey (14-00). A penalty from Abbeyfeale gave Emma Coomey the opportunity to put Bandon further ahead with another well placed kick (17-00). Late in the first half Abbeyfeale scored a try which their outhalf converted. (17-07) This was soon answered with another try from Bandon, scored and converted by Emma Coomey (24-07).
 
Early in the second half Eileen Foley scored Bandon’s fourth try securing them the Bonus point, with Emma Coomey just missing the conversion (29-07). With a well-timed pass from Lynda O Donovan, Kim Quinn scored her first try for Bandon, which Emma Coomey once again converted further extending Bandon’s lead. Late in the second half Lynda O’Donovan broke the line and scored Bandon’s final try which was converted by Aisling O’Sullivan bringing the final score to 43-7.
 
It was a very good performance from the whole team with two standout performances. The first was Emma Coomey who had a fantastic kicking game only missing one from six. And the second standout performance was Eileen Foley who was faultless in her support play and made some brilliant carries.
